This is Saturn
A wise woman by the name of Oprah Winfrey once said, “A lesson will keep repeating itself until it’s learned. Life first will send the lesson to you in the size of a pebble; if you ignore the pebble, then life will send you a brick; if you ignore the brick, life will send you a brick wall; if you ignore the brick wall, life will send you a demolition truck”.
I love this metaphor because it so aptly describes how the planet Saturn shows up in our lives. The planet Saturn is the great disciplinarian of the cosmos. It represents our life lessons… and I’m not talking about the easy ones. They’re usually the ones that are the hardest for us to learn. And if we don’t have the awareness of astrology on our sides, often times we will repeat these same mistakes over and over again.
“A Lesson Will Keep Repeating Itself Until It’s Learned”.
Personally, my Saturn is in Virgo, which means that my life lesson is to be more organized and structured in my daily routines. I’m also supposed to mind my health, be of service to others, and stop being so hard on myself. Some of these things are easier than others for me, but when I learned this about my chart, it made so much sense!
It also made sense as to why in my past I typically didn’t LOVE Virgos. Their attention to detail, critical nature, and general ability to get things done irked me. But as I grew older, I realized that I was just subconsciously jealous that they possessed these traits that I wanted to have, but struggled to display.
And as I’ve come to understand my life through Saturn, and I reflect on how many times I’ve struggled to “learn my Virgo lessons”, I am getting closer to getting it right. One day at a time, having patience with myself, I have faith that I’ll get there.
